Based on the popular book by Stuart Browne, this is the story of Noah Arkwright (Peter Howitt), a film director whose success - and excess - have him hurtling towards self-destruction.

Whilst he can't get enough drink, drugs, girls, fame he is forced to face his inner demons with the help of his best friend, a reformed young alcoholic and a guardian angel in the shape of Clare Matherson (Saffron Burrows). As he manages to move from self abuse to self preservation Mother Nature deals him the cruellest of blows.
